    How we will use your personal information

    The Dreamleaf will use the information that you provide using this webform (your statement) as evidence during investigation(s) into the individual(s) that you have identified in your statement.  

    Lawfulness of processing

    Your personal data will be processed lawfully because the Dreamleaf operates under local and UK legal obligations to prevent crime. 

    Your statement will be treated in confidence and not shared with the individual reported on unless you consent to this. However, our responsibilities mean that we may need to pass on your statement, including your name and contact details to local, UK and international law enforcement agencies, if we feel there is reason to suspect criminal activity. If a criminal proceeding is initiated, you may be required to be a witness and, depending on the circumstances, lose your right to anonymity.

    Your rights

    The Dreamleaf complies with data protection law in the UK and laws in other countries that meet internationally accepted standards. You have the right to ask for a copy of the information we hold on you, and the right to ask us to correct any inaccuracies in that information.     Information retention

    Your statement will be retained for seven years from completion of the investigation if no follow up action is taken. The statement will be retained for longer if additional evidence of fraud is identified before the seven-year period expires, or if disciplinary action is taken against the individual concerned, in which case it will be retained for seven years after completion of the disciplinary proceeding or seven years after the individual is dismissed. If the statement is passed to law enforcement agencies the data will be retained in line with legal requirements in the country where the incident is dealt with.
